Luton was the UK’s fifth busiest airport in 2022.
Through Luton Rising, Luton Council is investing around £2.4 billion in the area’s infrastructure. Its goal is to increase yearly passenger numbers from 13 million to 32 million; generate an additional £1.5 billion in local economic activity; and create 11,000 new jobs.
The airport’s cargo operations continue to grow year on year. In 2022, it handled 32,000 tonnes of air cargo: an increase of 21% on the previous year.
AIPUT is seeking to capitalise on this future growth and increase its range of modern warehouses around Luton Airport.
Our portfolio currently comprises Trade City Luton, a 125,000 sq. ft. industrial park located in the heart of Luton and ideally situated to capture the opportunities created by the growth of the airport and local population. This new multi-let estate, let to growing clients like dnata Catering and Ether Worldwide, is well-connected: located four miles from the airport and one mile from Junction 11 on the M1.
